Work Experience

Work Experience (which is also called Work Placement or Internship), is your chance to come to London and experience working for a British company. The placements are unpaid and are designed to give you the experience that will help you in the future.

Benefits of this programme:

  • You will learn how people work in a British company
  • You will have the opportunity to work in an English speaking environment
  • You will be able to put this experience on your CV / Resume, which will help you to find a good job in the future
  • You will learn a lot about yourself

We arrange most placements ourselves but also work with a specialist company if there is a specific one that we cannot organise.

Placements can be for 4 - 12 weeks or more and are in your field of specialisation.

The following vocational areas are generally available for a placement:
Finance, Advertising, Office Administration, Media, Computing and IT, Engineering, International Trade, Law, Design, Hotel and Catering, Import / Export, Public Relations, Marketing, Sales, Secretarial Work, Travel and Tourism, Telecommunications.

When you contact the school we will start working with you to plan the best placement and English course to suit your needs.

Please allow 6 - 8 weeks for the application administration and the identification of a suitable work placement. In all cases, you must begin with an English course. We also advise that you take one of our part-time evening courses during your placement and recommend English for Work or Business English.
